Mere falsafey niyane, meri tarah adhoore.
My philosophies are naïve, incomplete — just like me.

Tusi aap dekh laina, rakh ditta tuhade muhre.
You may judge for yourselves; I’ve laid them out before you.

Kithe barkatan di raavi sochan de deson guzre;
Somewhere, the river of blessings flows through the land of thoughts.

Meri hond da baqaya, mahram de hai huzure.
What remains of my being, rests in the presence of the beloved confidant.

Eho valgana de upparon koi roshni bulave,
A light calls from beyond these entanglements.

Kis bidh vileen hona, je na hoyeon choore-choore.
But how can one truly merge unless first shattered into pieces?

Rahbar di laag tore ji ilahi paindeyan te,
The guide’s connection leads gently through divine journeys.

Kithe yaad di hai madira te viyog de dhature.
Along the way, there is wine of remembrance and thorn-apples of separation.

Vairag di avastha kudrat nawazdi ae,
The state of renunciation is a gift nature bestows.

Jisne eh na pachhani, taan zindagi hi jhoore.
One who doesn’t recognize it will grieve their whole life.

Dastoor aashiqi da hunda disda mukammal,
The way of the lover appears to reach completion

Hariyan karambalan de rang ho gaye ne bhoore.
As the bright green shoots have now turned brown.

Wismad de kinare wakif na-wakifan ton,
At the shores of divine wonder, strangers and familiars both stand.

Dahleez na eh tapp je mainu mera aapa ghoore.
May I never cross this threshold — as my very self stares back at me.

Duniya de danisho ve mainu naal lai ke jaayo,
O wise ones of the world, take me along with you

Sartaj nu jo bakhshe, oho kaaj karo poore.
